China has announced the continuation of military exercises next to Taiwan.

The Eastern Theater Command of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) said in a statement, ‘Military exercises on anti-submarine and air-to-ship strikes will continue in the waters off Taiwan Island.

China claims Taiwan is a ‘separate province’ of its territory. But in this case, Taiwan’s thinking is different.

Beijing launched the unprecedented exercise in response to US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan. Chinese missiles flew over Taipei in a live fire exercise. In addition, five missiles fell in Japan’s exclusive economic zone.
