A BJP activist from Uttar Pradesh misbehaved with a neighbor woman. Besides making bad comments about the character, he harassed the woman. The local administration has taken ‘bulldozer action’ against the BJP worker to punish this ‘crime’.
The ‘bulldozer trial’ of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s government is not a new phenomenon. It started to become popular even before the formation of Yogi Sarkar’s second government.
A BJP worker also had to face the bulldozer on Monday. Local people accused the Noida BJP worker of illegal occupation and construction inside the residence.
The BJP worker harassed a woman during an argument with the people there on Friday. An FIR was lodged against him in this incident. Later, the Noida police also filed a complaint against him under the Gangster Act. In this law, the administration can demolish the house of the accused.
The BJP worker’s name is Shrikant Tyagi. He is a resident of Grand Omax Association of Apartments in Noida. The question arose after a bulldozer ran over a woman’s home after harassing her. Why did the convicts get acquitted in cases of rape and crimes against women one after the other in Hathors, Unnao or Gorakhpur?
The BJP MLA himself was named as the main accused in Unnawe, the opposition’s question. In the Hathors incident, the police and the administration were accused of turning a blind eye to the victim’s family. However, the administration did not provide any explanation for the Noida incident.
The Yogi government has started using bulldozers to punish criminals even before coming to power for the second time. Initially, bulldozers were used to demolish illegal constructions, but later, bulldozers were also used to ‘punish’ criminals.
After the Yogi government came to power for the second time last March, he became known as ‘Bulldozerwala’ among his supporters as well as the opposition camp. While supporters have started promoting Yogi’s bulldozer as ‘crushing evil’, opponents countered that the bulldozer was being used to reduce the list of dislikes.
