Krishak Sramik Janata League’s founding president, Kader Siddiqui, has said that the biggest problem in Bangladesh is ensuring a fair and neutral election.
He made these remarks on Thursday (August 28) while speaking to the media. During the conversation, he talked about elections, voting, and necessary reforms.
Kader Siddiqui said, “Major reforms are needed so that voters can freely go to polling centers and cast their votes. Security must be ensured. Nothing else should be done by any unelected authority, nor would the people accept it. What matters is that voters can exercise their right to vote.”
He further added, “Whenever I am convinced that voters will be able to cast their votes, I will certainly participate in that election.”
Highlighting the role of freedom fighters, Siddiqui said, “Freedom fighters across the country should not be seen as Awami League’s freedom fighters, BNP’s freedom fighters, Jatiya Party’s freedom fighters, or anyone else’s freedom fighters. They are freedom fighters of Bangladesh; they fought for the country. This identity and this spirit must remain with them.”
