The students of various universities and colleges of the capital have made three-point demands including reducing the increased price of fuel within the next 48 hours.

They made these demands from the sit-in program and protest rally organized under the banner of ‘General Students’ at Neelkhet Junction in the capital on Monday morning. Their other two demands are not to increase public transport fares and ensure half pass for students.

The students in the rally said that due to the sudden increase in the price of fuel, the fare in public transport has also been abnormally increased. Which is not possible for ordinary people to carry. What is more impossible for students. The rise in oil prices has also caused an exorbitant rise in the prices of every commodity; Which is out of the common man’s affordability.

Ismail Samrat, chief coordinator of Saat College Movement, said that the bus owners are playing farce in the name of waybills, but the government is not taking any action despite this illegal waybill anarchy going on for years.

Coordinator of Half Pass movement Nadeem Khan Niloy said that due to increase in fare, now half fare is equal to previous full fare. It is impossible for students to pay so much rent per day.
