At least three of the country’s soldiers were killed by Israel’s ‘multiple’ missile attacks in Syria.

Aljazeera reported this information about the country’s media Sana.

Three more soldiers were injured in the attack.

SANA said the attacks hit “some places” in the capital Damascus and the coastal province of Tartus at 8:50 p.m. on Sunday.

Syrian air defenses responded and shot down some of the missiles, a military source said. Three soldiers were killed and three others were injured in the attack.

Damascus was attacked from the Lebanese capital Beirut and Tartous was attacked from the Mediterranean Sea.

Army sources said that apart from the casualties, some ‘equipment was also damaged’.

The Israeli army did not comment on this.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights confirmed the attack on Sunday. They say the attack took place on an air defense base in Tartus province. Where Iran’s supporters are active.

It also said two missiles hit army positions in al-Qutaifah, Damascus.

Israel has been attacking Syria since the start of the civil war in 2011. The attacks targeted government positions and Iran-backed Hezbollah fighters. But Israel rarely comments on the attacks.
