Department of Environment has filed a case against 12 people for the crime of cutting hills in Bayezid Bostami police station area of Chittagong city. On Thursday (August 11), Assistant Director of Chittagong Metropolitan Office of the Directorate, Abdullah Al Matin, filed the case at Bayezid Bostami Police Station.
According to police sources, the hill cutting incident took place in Jannar Baper’s farm area of Ward No. 2 of Bayezid Bostami police station. 11 people including Tafsirul Islam son of Abul Bashar of Cox’s Bazar area are involved in this work.
Mia Mahmudul Haque, Deputy Director of the Department of Environment, said that a case has been filed against 12 people in Bayezid Police Station on Thursday night for the crime of cutting hills in Ward No. 2 of Bayezid Police Station. The Department of Environment will investigate the case.
