18 Arabian horses have been gifted to Bangladesh Army by Qatar Armed Forces. And Bangladesh gave them 10 Chitra deer as a gift.
The gifts were exchanged in a casual ceremony on the tarmac of Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Monday.
Army Military Secretary Major General Khaled-Al-Mamun on behalf of Bangladesh and Brigadier General Abdul Aziz Al Sulaiti on behalf of Qatar Armed Forces received the gifts on the occasion. Military officials from both sides were present at this time.
The horses sent by the Qatar Armed Forces arrived at Shahjalal Airport at 5:30 pm in a special plane.
Qatar Armed Forces Chief of Staff Lieutenant General (Pilot) Salem Hamad Al-Aqeel Al-Nabet visited Bangladesh on June 6-8 at the invitation of Bangladesh Army Chief. At this time, he praised Bangladesh Army’s combat readiness, advanced training, role in world peace and overall high standard of conduct.
As part of the visit, he took salute at the parade as the chief guest at the 82nd long-term course officer cadets’ commissioning parade of Bangladesh Military Academy on June 8. After the visit, the relations between the two countries improved further through mutual contacts. Gift exchange is a reflection of that.
The exchange of gifts between the Qatar Armed Forces and the Bangladesh Army will further strengthen the relationship between the two countries, which will further deepen and strengthen the future communication of both countries in the professional field.
