President of the Krishak Sramik Janata League, Bangabir Kader Siddique, has stated that there can be no compromise regarding Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Ziaur Rahman.
He made these remarks while speaking at a recent event.
Kader Siddique said, “We don’t want to recreate independence. There will be no compromise on Bangladesh.”
“I will follow those who are sincere, who can keep their word, who treat people with respect and consider them their own. First, I am a servant of Allah. Secondly, I am a servant of the people. Beyond that, nothing else matters to me,” he said.
He added, “Fazlur Rahman (Advisor to the BNP Chairperson) once said that freedom fighters want to speak. I also want to listen. There is no greater power in the world than words. Worthless words have no value, but the weight of valuable words is beyond measure.”
“However, not everyone can speak,” he noted.
He emphasized, “We want no compromise regarding the Liberation War. No compromise on freedom fighters. The slogan ‘Joy Bangla’ in our voices is non-negotiable.”
He further stated, “Our leader is Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. We are all his followers. There will be no compromise on Bangabandhu. No compromise on Ziaur Rahman either. We want to uphold independence; we do not wish to recreate it.”
Kader Siddique concluded, “I appreciate those who have brought down the Awami League government through the anti-discrimination movement.”
