9 organizations will hold a nationwide protest program on August 17. This program will be held in protest against the abnormal increase in the price of fuel oil.
This decision was taken at a meeting of 9 organizations at the National Liberation Council office on Topkhana Road in the capital on Monday.
Jatiya Mukti Council secretary Faizul Hakim, coordinator of 9 organizations and president of New Democratic People’s Movement Zafar Hossain, central leader of communist movement Belal Chowdhury, Daliler Rahman, president of National Democratic People’s Forum Masud Khan, central leader of Basder (Mahbub) Mahinuddin Chowdhury Liton, central of Ganamukti Union were present in the meeting. Leader Rezaul Alam, member of National Council of National Liberation Council Kazi Iqbal, Sunayan Chakma etc.
In the meeting yesterday, protest against the increase in the price of fuel oil was condemned and protested against the police attack on the rally organized by progressive 9 student organizations in Dhaka’s Shahbagh. At the same time, it is said that the government has turned the country into a police state. This false case must be withdrawn immediately.
