China has banned seven officials from the autonomous region for supporting Taiwan independence. Chinese state media gave this information on Tuesday. News from Reuters.
The ban was imposed by China’s Taiwan Affairs Office. Among the seven officials who have been banned are Siao B Khim and Wellington Koo.
Xiao Bi Khim is Taiwan’s ambassador to Washington. And Wellington Ku is the Secretary General of Taiwan’s National Security Council.
Politicians from Taiwan’s ruling Democratic Progressive Party have also been banned.
China considers Taiwan as its territory. However, Taiwan has been rejecting China’s claim. They see themselves as independent-sovereign states.
