State Minister of Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry. Mahbub Ali MP visited various activities of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
From 12.00 pm to 4.30 pm on Saturday, Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport visited baggage belt area, ground service equipment division, aircraft ready for flight, hangar area, Biman flight catering center, various immigration activities on the ground.
While inspecting the ready-to-fly Biman Bangladesh Airlines aircraft, the state minister directed to enrich the content of Biman’s in-flight entertainment system to ensure in-flight entertainment for the passengers. He also asked Biman Bangladesh Airlines to be more sincere in ensuring proper cleanliness after returning from any aircraft flight as well as to ensure comfortable and relaxing travel of the passengers.
While visiting the baggage belt area and ground service division, the state minister suggested to increase the supervision of senior officials in these two sectors. At this time, he gave instructions to complete the aircraft recruitment process for this department with transparency and speed as skilled manpower is required in the ground service. At the same time, he advised the aviation authority to complete the process of procurement of modern equipment for the ground service division with speed and transparency.
Instructs immigration officials to behave more passenger-friendly during inspection of immigration operations. The immigration officials are asked to be sincere in ensuring that the passengers do not face any kind of harassment and discomfort.
The Minister of State instructed the staff working in the hangar to be more careful in handling the aircraft during the maintenance work. Later, during the visit of the Biman Flight Catering Center, the State Minister visited its various parts. During this time he gave various instructions to the officers of the catering center to ensure better quality of inflight food prepared for the passengers.
